😍 By Brittany on Aug 10, 2024 Look, it's abrasive at first. It's not a scent for the summer time or one you'd spray right before sitting across from your boss in a business meeting. It comes across as quite masculine, and the oud is overpowering from the outset, similar to a masculine santal-type fragrance. The beauty of this scent is in the way it dries down, and, (for me at least), transforms into a creamy, sensual gourmand, which I have not experienced in many woody-sandal-oud types. Beyond that, Mancera is KNOWN for their lasting power. This scent is ETERNAL. The sillage is also better than other perfumes I've tried from similar perfume houses (think Who is Elijah, Montale-esque) and leaves a gorgeous trail. This perfume isn't for everyone, but it IS enough to be a signature scent. Will be purchasing a full-size ASAP.

On initial spray I get the saffron and oud, and then gradually the vanilla comes up to the surface. Such an unusual surprising scent with fascinating depth. Lasts for at least 6-8 hours on skin and even longer on clothing. Scent-sational!

The oud and overall woody/spicy notes overpowered the sweeter vanilla and powder notes to the point they are barely detectable. Whilst this perfume is ok, a better example of this style of perfume would, IMO, be Montale Arabians Tonka which has a far better balance and wearability.

Just 1 to 2 sprays is enough as it so potent. At first I wasn't sure about this fragrance but it has grown on me...not sure if it's a keeper. I find this more of a winter scent.
